BREAKING: The Supreme Court has ruled against dangerous North Carolina Republicans and their disastrous theory that would have thrown our elections into chaos and given Donald Trump and his allies a big win.

Republican operatives like Leonard Leo have funneled millions of dollars into putting right-wing extremists on the Supreme Court and trying to get the Court to give state legislatures total control over elections. This would allow Republicans to permanently gerrymander state maps to their advantage and open the door for Trump’s allies to hijack the 2024 election like they tried in 2020.

But Dem AGs like North Carolina’s Josh Stein fought back to help ensure that voters get to pick their elected officials — not the other way around. And now, they’ve thwarted Republican-controlled state legislatures’ ability to make permanent, dangerous, and un-democratic changes to our elections and district maps. But we know that despite this victory for democracy, Republicans won’t stop trying to undermine it.

We must build up our defenses against the GOP’s continued onslaught on democracy at the state level by electing more Dem AGs like Josh Stein. Chip in now to elect Dem AGs who will defend democracy no matter what.
