Friend,
Six years ago, Donald Trump and his Republican acolytes pushed through tax cuts for the 1% that have cost the country more than $1.7 trillion so far.(1)
Now Republicans are doubling down with another round of cuts for the wealthiest while leaving the rest of us behind.
Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy is rushing through a tax package that would cost more than $4.5 trillion in the next decade -- money that could pay for paid family leave, childcare subsidies, and other programs to help a struggling working class.(2)
McCarthy is trying to pass these disastrous tax cuts under the radar, but Courage California has joined a coalition including Americans for Tax Fairness to sound the alarm.

The hypocrisy of these planned tax cuts is just breathtaking -- not three weeks ago, the GOP brought the nation to the brink of default over the debt ceiling because they supposedly wanted to shrink the debt.
Now they are planning on ballooning the deficit by $4.5 trillion to line the pockets of private equity firms, foreign investors, and billion-dollar corporations.(3)
The wealthiest 1% of this nation owns 54% of the stock market and more than 30% of the country’s wealth overall.(4) Meanwhile, 1 in 3 Americans can’t cover a $400 emergency with savings.(5) We need the wealthiest to be paying their fair share in order to bolster the struggling working class!
Perhaps worse, the GOP is also trying to roll back green energy tax credits in the midst of a climate crisis in order to justify their tax scam.
We can’t sit by and watch the Trump tax cuts be played out over again. Write your representative today and ask them to vote NO!
Tell your representative: NO on the GOP tax scam!
Thank you for joining the fight.
