Hi,
Interested in getting involved in meaningful campaigns this summer? We have remote volunteer and internship opportunities to make a difference on our campaigns from making textbooks more affordable to preventing at-risk species from becoming endangered!
We are looking for motivated students who want to intern or volunteer on these two urgent campaigns. Fill out our interest form to learn more! ([link removed])
Our early application deadline is July 7th.

[link removed] Endangered Species:
One-third of our wildlife and plants are currently at risk. States have identified the species of greatest concern in their Wildlife Action Plans, but current federal funding is less than five percent of the amount needed to meaningfully implement these plans. That's why we are working to pass the Recovering America’s Wildlife Act this summer! We are organizing field trips to aquariums and zoos as well as lobbying our Congressmembers to make this happen.
[link removed] Textbooks Affordable
The high cost of textbooks and course materials is a significant barrier to student success. One in ten students report skipping meals in order to afford necessary course materials. One solution is for professors to adopt Open Educational Resources (OER). We are working this summer to connect to hundreds of professors, librarians, and faculty to use these materials in their classes this year! We are also building support for the Affordable College Textbook Act by building visible support through social media, local news papers, and other media outlets this summer
We are also working on a number of other campaigns to alleviate hunger and homelessness and helping engage new voters in democracy. You can also receive the organizing skills and training to make a difference on these issues and more through our Civic Leadership Training Program. Apply here to get involved today! ([link removed])
Best,
