FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

*Skagit County Public Works will be performing a biennial routine inspection of the Cascade River Bridge in Marblemount along Rockport Cascade Road tomorrow, June 28th, 2023.*

County staff will utilize UAS Technology (Drone) to supplement the inspection underneath the bridge where access is difficult. The bridge was built in 1967 and has a total length of 180 feet, and a maximum span of 140 feet between piers which is the focus of this UAS flight.

As the majority of the drone planned flight will be underneath the bridge, motorists shouldn't even notice and traffic will not be disrupted.
