As Attorney General, Bob is holding powerful special interests accountable when they harm working families. Here are just a few examples:
- Bob is the first Washington attorney general to criminally prosecute wage theft. He led the effort to pass a law to ensure willful wage theft violators don’t receive government taxpayer-funded contracts.
- Bob took on the Department of Energy to force greater protections for workers getting dangerously ill due to exposure at the Hanford nuclear plant.
- He filed a lawsuit against Ostrom Mushroom Farms in Sunnyside for discrimination against female farmworkers and creating a toxic work environment with a culture of retaliation. Bob made Ostrom pay $3.4 million which will all be used to compensate the farmworkers.
Bob isn’t afraid to take on the big fights for workers. That’s the type of dedication and energy he’ll continue to bring as Governor.
