Myth: Pesticides aren’t dangerous, and we need them in agriculture to feed the world.
Fact: Pesticides can be detrimental and even lethal to bees -- and we don’t need these toxic products to grow our food.
Without bees and other pollinators, our food system would be in serious danger. Many of your favorite fruits, vegetables and nuts could become extremely difficult and expensive to find -- and the pesticides used to grow them could end up in you and your loved ones’ bodies, too. Act now to help eliminate toxic pesticides from our food system before the damage is irreversible: Donate $27 or more to Friends of the Earth now!
There’s no mystery here, Friend. Study after study has found that the massive use of pesticides, like Bayer-Monsanto's bee-toxic neonicotinoids, are key drivers in the decimation of pollinators. But the EPA could still approve neonics for another 15 years!
The clock is ticking. If we don’t ban neonics soon, we could be facing a second Silent Spring with dire consequences for our food system and the planet. Pollinators need your support now.
Help get bee-toxic neonics out of our food system once and for all. Donate $27 now and help Friends of the Earth reach our $5,320 goal!

Bees are an essential part of our ecosystems and way of life. We rely on bees and other pollinators for 75% of the world's food crops, including some of the most nutritious. If we lose bees, we will also lose many of the foods that keep us healthy!
In fact, the decline in bees and other pollinators has already harmed global fruit, vegetable, and nut production. Without access to these vital crops and a healthy diet, people could be at higher risk of heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and even cancer, according to a recent study.
Neonics can directly hurt people, too. They can make their way into the very food you eat and have been linked to health impacts like birth defects of the heart and brain, hormone disruption, and autism.
If we don’t act now to ban bee-killing pesticides, our food system, our health, and our planet could face devastating consequences. Today’s children could be some of the last people to share the planet with many species of wild bees.
The damage being done is clear. But pesticide giants like Bayer-Monsanto continue to funnel big money into disinformation efforts. They are denying and distracting from the role that their products play in bee deaths. They have gotten away with this for years, and our bees, our health, and our planet are paying for the consequences. Now is the time to stand up and demand action!
Help stop vulnerable bees from vanishing, and protect our planet. Make your $27 donation to Friends of the Earth today.

Pesticides like neonics can kill bees on contact. But even if they survive, these toxic chemicals can attack bees’ nerve cells and can harm their cognition, flight ability, and even reproduction -- making it harder for them to survive.
The EPA has a chance to ban neonics once and for all. Instead, it might approve these pesticides for another 15 years and subject even more bees to this fate. But there's still hope, Friend. Because of supporters like you, we have the chance to make real change -- change that would help protect bees, people, and the planet.
At Friends of the Earth, we are doing everything we can to help save pollinators, protect our health, and stop the destruction of our planet. We're working to ban toxic pesticides that are driving the decline of bees and butterflies. At the same time, we're pushing major grocery companies like Kroger to stop selling food grown with these chemicals.
We won’t stand by and let corporate greed trump the health of pollinators, people, and the planet. With your membership support today, we can double down on these efforts and give pollinators and our planet a fighting chance! Please, Friend, will you donate $27 or more today and help us reach our $5,320 goal for pollinators and the planet?
Bees, people, and the planet are on the line. Rush your $27 donation and help us reach our $5,320 goal before midnight tonight!
