Bees are an essential part of our ecosystems and way of life. We rely on bees and other pollinators for 75% of the world's food crops, including some of the most nutritious. If we lose bees, we will also lose many of the foods that keep us healthy!
In fact, the decline in bees and other pollinators has already harmed global fruit, vegetable, and nut production. Without access to these vital crops and a healthy diet, people could be at higher risk of heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and even cancer, according to a recent study.
