John, we have some BREAKING news from the Supreme Court! NBC NEWS: Supreme Court paves the way for Louisiana congressional districts to be redrawn POLITICO: Supreme Court dismisses Louisiana's appeal of ruling that found racial gerrymandering Earlier this month, the Supreme Court rejected Alabama’s gerrymandered congressional maps. This week, they did the same in Louisiana. Now, the Court should follow suit here in South Carolina’s 1st district. This isn't a partisan issue. Most of us – whether we’re Republican, Democrat, or something else – agree that gerrymandering is wrong. Voters should pick the politicians. The politicians shouldn’t pick the voters. We're hoping the Supreme Court agrees with the three-judge panel that ruled South Carolina’s gerrymandered maps are unconstitutional. Our campaign team will provide updates as we get them.
