Financial Security

On February 18, the second webinar will focus on financial security for low- to moderate-income Americans. We'll discuss the ASSET Act [[link removed]], a bill to promote saving by removing asset limits from social programs. We'll also discuss our recent federal matched-savings policy proposal [[link removed]] that's expected to be introduced this Congress.

Racial Wealth Divide

On February 25, our final webinar of the series will focus on how the American Opportunity Accounts Act can help provide meaningful resources for the next generation to build on while also addressing the racial wealth divide. In addition to providing an overview of the latest data on economic and racial wealth inequality the country is facing, the webinar will also detail specific policy design features and recommendations that should be part of a national Baby Bonds program.

Each webinar will break down what these policies would mean for your community, our advocacy goals for each in 2020 and what you can do to help. Join us for this series and learn directly from our policy and advocacy experts. Now is the time to build momentum for the asset-building policies we wish to see enacted in the future!
