When It Comes To Gender Identity, Real Debate, Not Government Mandate, Is Required
- Liam Morrison, a 12-year-old, was sent home from school for wearing a T-shirt that read: “THERE ARE ONLY TWO GENDERS.”
- A federal trial judge ruled that the school likely was within its rights to do so ruling that wearing such a shirt would infringe upon other “students’ rights to be ‘secure and to be let alone’ during the school day.”
- Yet, in Tinker v. Des Moines School District (1969), the high court famously wrote that neither students nor teachers “shed their constitutional rights to freedom of speech or expression at the schoolhouse gate.”
- Policymakers and courts should protect the freedom of all Americans to think, speak, and act according to the original understanding of marriage and the scientific definition of sex.

Let’s Swap Racial Preferences for Ability, Skill in College Admissions
- For far too long, racial preferences benefiting certain students have been abused in college admissions to racially discriminate against other students and deny them equal educational opportunities.
- The Supreme Court should strike down the discriminatory conduct exercised by administrators who have punished or rewarded students based on the color of their skin.
- Even if we get the right decision, more policy changes are necessary, as many school administrators have ignored or skirted laws that abolish racial preferences in hiring or admission decisions.

Biden: The President of Economic Falsehoods
- Every politician may stretch the truth from time to time, but Mr. Biden’s economic statements take the cake. If he keeps it up, his name will become so synonymous with economic lies that they will start being measured in “Bidens” instead of “Pinocchios.”
- Biden’s recent Wall Street Journal opinion piece delivered three big whoppers on his economic record.
- His first misrepresentation is his claim to have “created” millions of jobs. The government-imposed lockdowns during the COVID-19 pandemic effectively made it illegal for tens of millions of Americans to go to work, and that spiked job losses to unprecedented levels.
- Biden’s second big fabrication is his oft-repeated line about reducing the deficit. After massive government spending in the name of COVID-19 relief in 2020, the deficit ballooned to $3.3 trillion.
- His third economic misrepresentation is the least defensible of all: inflation. The president brags about bringing prices down from historic highs, but that is damning with faint praise since he helped set the inflationary inferno with his profligate spending.
