You know what drives us crazy? Elites, whether Democratic or Republican, who use their money and power to influence policy changes that hurt the majority, but not the elites pulling the strings. The Koch brothers are not conservative and yet they are the primary funders the Republican party. They disagree with most Republican policies like open borders and use their power to influence the legislative outcome. For example, the Kochs pressured Republicans in Congress to pass amnesty for Dreamers in their lame duck session. The majority of Republicans want secure borders but the Kochs could care less what “their party” wants.
Then you have former Vice President Joe Biden, who defends Obamacare in his campaign but jumped through hoops to not pay the tax that specifically funded the law. While everyone else had to live with the negative consequences of Obamacare, Biden cheated his way out of it, based on his released tax returns from 2016 to 2018.
Elites and establishments of any ideology don’t care about how their policies and their actions affect everyone else. They don’t have to live with the negative consequences because their money and influence will always keep them afloat.
Tax reform is just as important now as it was during the battle to pass Trump’s Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. While we reap the benefits of the tax cuts, we must maintain vigilance to ensure the Democrats don’t try to raise them again. The best way is to educate those who don’t realize they actually are keeping more of their money....
