Happy Pride Month, John. I’m Will Rollins, a former federal prosecutor and gay Democrat running to flip California’s 41st Congressional District from red to blue.[link removed]

When it comes to LGBTQ issues, Calvert’s as bad as it gets:

- He opposed gay marriage.
- He voted against allowing gay adoptions.
- He voted down the Equality Act.
- He voted to allow employers to fire employees for being LGBTQ+.
- He voted against the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.”

And if all of that isn’t bad enough, his first electoral victory came in 1994 after he sent out bright pink mailers outing his then political opponent and accused him of harboring a “secret” homosexual agenda. Now, John, the good news is Ken Calvert’s political career is more vulnerable than ever before. In 2022, I ran against him as a first-time candidate with 0% name ID, and we handed him the closest midterm election he’s ever faced (just 4 points!). National experts say that our campaign was the #3 over-performing Democratic challenger campaign in the nation.

Now, in 2024, national Democrats are already calling our district one of 33 initial “offensive targets” to take back the House Majority. So let’s make a strong statement this Pride Month, John. Let’s send a staunch anti-LGBTQ+ Republican packing, flip this swing seat, and take back the House.Pitch split a contribution of $10 or more between the Voter Protection Project and our campaign if you’re with me: ([link removed])

Thank you,

Will Rollins
