Today, President Biden announced $3,312,616,455 in federal funding for broadband internet in Texas through the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program, the most funding for any state. BEAD was created through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, a law I helped pass last year.
High-speed internet service is no longer a luxury - it’s a necessity. The BEAD funding will help expand access to high-speed internet for South Texas. As your voice in Congress, I will continue to fight for improved infrastructure, including internet access.
