Dear GOP,
This is not a good relationship.
Healthy relationships are based on mutual trust and understanding. But this relationship? You manipulated the maps back in 2011 and nine years later, I'm still stuck with you!
That's not cool. I need to be able to spread my wings and exercise my democratic rights by voting in fair elections -- not going with the default Republican who was handpicked for my district.
So it's over. And anyway, I met someone new. The NDRC.
They're just a better fit for me. Instead of manipulated elections, they're offering me fair maps. Instead of politicians in the pocket of party bosses and special interests, they're offering elected officials who are accountable to voters like me.
Don't expect any candy or flowers from me today. I'm donating to the NDRC instead. They need resources as they fight to end gerrymandering in all nine of their 2020 target states.
So goodbye, GOP. I never liked your policies anyway.
