Welcome to The Agenda (yeah - THAT agenda), your weekly update on what's happening in the LGBTQ political world. Whatever you do, don’t forward it to Mike Pence. He doesn't need to know what we're planning! Forward it to a friend instead.

Overview: Californa, North Carolina and Texas have tons of races on Super Tuesday, Pete takes second in New Hampshire and more!
SUPER CALIFORNIA TUESDAY
While the Presidential candidates battle to win each Super Tuesday state, don’t forget about the *other* races taking place. California – you’ve got LGBTQ candidates to vote for up and down your ballot!
Georgette Gómez received two big endorsements in her race for California’s 53rd Congressional district: one from LPAC and one from Latino Victory Fund!
Spotlight candidate Todd Gloria, running for mayor of San Diego, received also received the nod from Planned Parenthood Action Fund. Todd also credited his identity with making him the politician he is today, which we love!
Steve Hansen is running for reelection to the Sacramento City Council. He just received a recommendation from Sacramento News & Review!
DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS
Another state voting on Super Tuesday? As you might recall, we’re in a massive battle to flip the Texas House and our LGBTQ candidates are a key part of the effort.
Spotlight candidate Shawn Terry has been attending candidate forums like crazy, including one with NARAL Pro-Choice Texas, the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce and the For the Future Forum on public education.
Ann Johnson received a critical endorsement from the Houston Chronicle in her pivotal race to flip Texas House District 134. Read the full endorsement here!
Gina Ortiz Jones joined Univision El Paso to make her case for why she’s the best Democratic candidate for Texas’s 23rd Congressional District.
We have a full slate of candidates in Texas, running at all levels. Check out all their races here!

CANDIDATE SPOTLIGHT: MARY WASHINGTON

FEEL THE PETE WAVE
Two primaries down, so many more to go. Pete officially claimed second place in the New Hampshire primaries. Watch his speech here.
Exit polls also show that New Hampshire voters see Pete as the best candidate to beat Trump. If you want to take a deep dive into all the exit polling, you can find it here.
Since taking second in New Hampshire, Team Pete is sprinting forward to South Carolina, Nevada and beyond. They’ve rolled out a key slate of endorsements, including:
Three openly LGBTQ elected officials in Ohio
California Lt. Governor Eleni Kounalakis
South Carolina Representative JA Moore
Nevada State Assemblywoman Sandra Jauregui
Indiana City Councilman Alex Burton
Indianapolis City-County Member Keith Potts
Now that Pete’s a front-runner, we’re on the lookout for nasty and hateful people who live in a bigot bubble. And yes, we mean DO Rush Limbaugh.

WHAT WE'RE READING
Iowa is not the first state to struggle with election reporting. If you've been having horrific flashbacks to the 2000 Presidential elections, rest easy: our candidate Chad Klitzman is on the case!

Paid for by the LGBTQ Victory Fund and not authorized by any candidate or candidate's committee.

LGBTQ Victory Fund has helped thousands of openly LGBTQ candidates win elections up and down the ballot, from sea to shining sea since our founding in 1991. We believe representation is power – so we elected U.S. Senators Tammy Baldwin and Kyrsten Sinema, Governors Jared Polis and Kate Brown, all seven LGBTQ members of U.S. Congress and countless candidates for state and local government, including Virginia Delegate Danica Roem, Colorado state Representative Leslie Herod and Pennsylvania Assemblymember Brian Sims. And with an unprecedented number of LGBTQ people running for office in this year, we’ll need your support to make 2020 the next Rainbow Wave.
