We have to place a huge emphasis on this deadline’s importance to our campaign because the Federal Election Commission (FEC) mandates that all congressional candidates report their fundraising numbers quarterly. Republicans just barely outraised Democrats in Q1, so we have no room for error in Q2!
In the House, Republicans have a majority, but not by much! Democrats and their mega-donors have vowed to dump millions into House races, meaning we need to raise major GOP funds to defeat the Democrats and hold the House next year.
