Breaking news, John! The US Supreme Court has dismissed a petition to appeal voters’ success in challenging Louisiana’s congressional map and lifted a stay that had been standing in the way of a lower court’s order for a new, fair map. This means that Black Louisianans may have the opportunity to gain additional representation in Congress where they can elect a candidate of their choice. This victory for voters underscores the growing significance of recent fair map wins, like the triumph in Alabama.

The dismissal of the Louisiana petition signifies a significant step forward in the ongoing battle to protect and preserve voting rights. With the case now resuming at the 5th Circuit and the district court, and the process for a new map re-engaged, the spotlight remains on working to ensure fairness for all voters.
Today’s win validates the importance of continuing the fight for voters’ rights, and the importance of never giving up on our fight for fair maps. Will you make a donation to All On The Line to help us keep up the fight forward for fairness? >> [link removed]
