The far-right has gone off the rails. They’re doing Donald Trump’s bidding and distracting from his very serious legal problems by intimidating anybody who calls out his wrongdoing.

I saw it firsthand as an impeachment manager for Donald Trump’s first trial. As we detailed the former president’s abuse of power, his cronies spread lies and promised to retaliate against anybody who dared tell the truth.

No matter what far-right members of the Republican Party do to distort the truth, nobody is above the rule of law. Not even a former president.
