Today marks one year since the far-right Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. The consequences of this ruling are far-reaching and have jeopardized the fundamental rights, autonomy, and lives of individuals across Ohio.
Like the majority of Ohioans, we firmly believe that reproductive care IS healthcare. No lawmaker or judge should have the power to dictate the most intimate decisions concerning our bodies and futures. That's why Ohio Democrats have been working tirelessly to put a reproductive rights initiative on the ballot, and THIS WEEK, we turned in over 100,000 signatures from every county in Ohio.
But, anti-choice politicians in our state are ready to fight us every step of the way, and make sure this is THE issue on the ballot. Threatened by the power of the people, they've forced "Issue 1" on the August 8 ballot to try and sabotage the initiative petition process. We need your help fighting back, and that's why on today's anniversary, I'm coming to you with two requests:
