Hi there, John, I'm Jack Lofgren, Barbara's finance director. It's my job to make sure we have enough money to run this campaign. But as of now, we're going to miss our critically important $150,000 end-of-quarter goal. 

That's why I'm reaching out to you today. You see, without a huge surge in support now, we just won't be able to make up the difference before our midnight deadline at the end of the month.

This is one of the worst possible times to fall short. All of Barbara's fundraising numbers will be made public after this deadline for the GOP and her opponents to see. We're heading into one of the most expensive primaries in the country – and we're already at a major fundraising disadvantage.

Truthfully, if we don't put up good numbers after this quarter, it will spell disaster for our campaign.

Listen, Barbara won't beg you for a donation, but I will: Please, can you chip in $5 to help us reach our $150,000 end-of-quarter fundraising goal before it's too late? We need Barbara's voice in the Senate, but she'll only be able to make it there if people like you fight for this campaign.
