Now they’re trying to make it personal.

For the past several months, I’ve received phone calls from everyone from my old law professor to employees from businesses I owned 25 years ago to friends that my wife and I raised our kids together with… over 15 years ago.

They all told me the same thing, “Hey Mark, I just received a phone call from an investigative reporter asking me some weird questions about you and Patty. They are clearly digging to try and find some kind of dirt they can use against you.”

, as you probably know, Convention of States is over halfway to calling the first-ever Article V Convention to propose amendments that could undo over 100 years of progressivism.

We’ve also built an army with over 5 million supporters that spans every single state house district in America. What’s more, those patriots are engaged in the fight. We’re actively working in the remaining states to meet the required 34 state thresh-hold — and in recent years, those same activists have also been getting engaged in get-out-the-vote efforts, and other liberty-centered issues to defend our most sacred constitutional rights.

It’s enough to make any statist very, very nervous.

So I wasn’t surprised to hear that our opponents were planning a hit piece to try and undermine my credibility. I imagine that they were pretty disappointed after spending months interviewing everyone they could find that ever knew me or worked with me to not be able to print a more hard-hitting personal attack piece…but they will continue to try. I am sure of that.

When my wife and I decided that we could no longer sit on the sidelines and watch as the country we loved was taken over by a radical agenda… we knew that our civic engagement would come at a personal cost.

But John, when I pledged my life, fortune, and sacred honor to you, I meant it.

So the radical progressives can publish as many hit pieces against me as they want — I’m in this for the long haul.

But what I won’t stand for is a smear campaign leveled against the U.S. Constitution and our Founding Fathers.

Just recently, a piece was published in the Boston Globe, claiming that we were planning to utilize Article V to “gut” the Constitution.

It’s a despicable affront to the checks and balances woven into the fabric of our founding documents.

As we continue to progress towards calling a convention, it’s more important than ever that we proactively educate the public about the true origins of Article V, the ironclad safeguards built into the amending and ratification process, and why this is our last, best hope to save the nation.

As media hit pieces continue to roll out, we are working to extend our reach with a massive digital campaign to educate millions of Americans with the truth.
