John, this is important news about our people-powered campaign to flip this seat blue and replace extremist conservative Lauren Boebert. Because I think our government should work for people, not big corporations with ultra-wealthy CEOs, I’m announcing today that I’m refusing donations from corporate PACs.
Right now, we have less than four days until we have to wrap up our end-of-quarter fundraising report, and I’m counting on folks like you to show the growing strength of our grassroots movement. It may not seem like $10, $50, or $100 will matter, but when lots of people do what they can, we can achieve amazing things. Will you do what you can right now to fuel our people-powered movement and help meet our critical June 30 goal?
I know the decision to refuse corporate PAC donations puts me at a disadvantage, especially since I don’t have a personal fortune to use to prop up my campaign.
But leaders have to make tough choices when it comes to doing what is right, and making sure I’m not beholden to anyone but the people of Western and Southern Colorado is the right choice.
There’s a lot on the line in this election, from accessing safe abortions and protecting our vital natural resources to keeping our kids safe in schools and defending our democracy.
Campaigns like mine need lots of passionate people to step up and do their part. If we work together, we can win this and replace Boebert once and for all. But right now, we’ve got to meet our June 30 goal. Will you give $10, $50, $100, or the most generous amount you can now?
For the people,
Debby
