John, five years ago today, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez won her primary election against entrenched incumbent Joe Crowley:
AOC took on the machine and won. We recruited her to run for Congress after her brother nominated her to run through Justice Democrats’ recruitment efforts.
We helped AOC manage her team, run her organizing program, and make everything we could of our small budget. Then, she won. We toppled one of the most powerful corporate Democrats and elected the youngest woman ever to serve in Congress in his place.
This is what the power of grassroots organizing and campaigns can do. And this is the power of what small-dollar contributions can accomplish.
I am personally so proud of the work Justice Democrats has accomplished since forming after Bernie Sanders’ 2016 campaign. And I’m so thankful for your support.
Will you make a $3 donation now to elect better Democrats to Congress?
We’re in a fight for the soul of the Democratic Party and every single contribution helps to power our work.
In solidarity,
Alexandra Rojas
