One year, one decision, and an impossibly high cost.

We’ve gone through an entire calendar since the radical, right-wing Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in the case of Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization—and Americans are continuing to pay the price.

Just look around. Abortion is effectively banned (with extremely limited exceptions) in fourteen states. Approximately 22 million people who might need this vital healthcare now live in places where abortion is heavily restricted and more often totally inaccessible. States like Texas, Oklahoma, and Idaho have implemented bounty laws which empower private citizens to sue abortion providers and collect thousands of dollars in “reward” money.

An overwhelming majority of Americans say abortion should be legal in the first trimester. The Dobbs decision clearly showed how little the Supreme Court cares about the will of the American people.

And it hasn’t stopped there. On top of all of the Court’s radical conservative decisions, ethics violations by conservative justices have raised serious questions about the Court’s impartiality. It’s no wonder six in 10 Americans say they don’t have confidence in the Supreme Court.

We have to restore balance to ensure the Court upholds the Constitution and our fundamental freedoms. In a few clicks, send a pre-written letter to the editor of your local newspaper and spread the word about the expanding the Court by passing the Judiciary Act:

The Judiciary Act would add four new seats to the Supreme Court, bringing the number of justices to 13. It would help restore balance to a Court that Mitch McConnell has packed with right-wing extremists, all of whom voted to dismantle the right to abortion care.

There’s absolutely nothing in the Constitution or law that sets the number of Supreme Court justices at 9. In fact, Congress has changed the size of the Supreme Court seven times already in our nation’s history.

If we don’t do something to stop the right-wing radical majority on the Court, they will continue to attack our fundamental rights. Send a pre-written letter to the editor of your local newspaper and spread the word about the Judiciary Act.
