This weekend, we marked the first year since 1972 that Americans’ reproductive health decisions were not protected by Roe v. Wade . Here in North Carolina, we feel that loss deeply after the GOP-controlled legislature passed a 12-week abortion ban.
It’s an important reminder that elections have consequences.
We’re not fighting to flip the House blue just because we like winning. We’re in this fight because it’s the only way to protect abortion rights nationwide, deliver affordable and accessible health care, stop climate change, and protect our democratic values.
So I’m humbly asking today if you’ll contribute $10 – or whatever you can afford right now – toward our crucial Federal Election Commission (FEC) goal of $10,000 before the deadline this Friday.
I got into politics to make a real difference in our community, and together we’ve done exactly that, funding projects here in NC-02 and passing crucial legislation to raise the debt ceiling and invest in infrastructure.
We still have plenty of work ahead of us. But I know with you on my team, we can take back control of the House and make the kind of progress North Carolinians are waiting for.
What do you say? Will you join our fight to turn the House blue by pitching in before the June 30th filing deadline? [[link removed]]
Thanks for all your support,
Deborah
