Today marks eight years since the Supreme Court decision Obergefell
v. Hodges allowed for LGBTQ+ marriage to stand as the law of the
land. However, in last year's Dobbs v. Jackson decision, it was made
clear that individual rights are under attack.

In the Dobbs v. Jackson decision, Clarence Thomas used the reasoning
to call into question the validity of the Obergefell case. In
renouncing the right to privacy and personal freedoms, the right to
marry the one you love may be the next thing stripped away from
Americans.
Â
While the GOP has used rhetoric claiming their want to "protect
rights," it is clear that those in the LGBTQ+ community are targeted
and used as a scapegoat for their attacks.Â
Â
We've witnessed the fall of Roe with this conservative majority in
the Supreme Court. We cannot see more decades of progress undone.Â
