As we approach the Fourth of July, a time of celebration and gratitude for our nation, I am reminded of the brave men and women who have sacrificed so much to protect our freedom. Many of our veterans, who have been severely injured in the global War on Terror, are facing unimaginable hardships.
I know their pain. I've been there. I suffered third-degree burns on 35 percent of my body while serving in Iraq. I understand the physical and emotional toll it takes, and the financial burden it places on families.
The bureaucratic delays in our system mean that many of these veterans are waiting for months, sometimes over a year, for their government disability checks to start arriving. This delay is causing severe distress to our veterans and their families, who are often left wondering how they will afford their next meal or keep a roof over their heads.
Your generous, tax-deductible donation can provide immediate relief to a veteran in need. Whether it's helping to put food on their table, keeping their utilities running, or preventing an eviction, your contribution can change a life.
Thank you for your continued support and for standing with our veterans. Together, we can ensure that no hero is left behind.
Best regards,
Staff Sergeant Shilo Harris, U.S. Army (Ret.)
National Spokesman for the Coalition
