This should give us so much hope, team, but we can’t stop fighting until this bill becomes law — AND until we win permanent protections for all undocumented people, regardless of their citizenship status.

The American Dream and Promise Act was introduced with support from both Democrats and Republicans in the House. The bill would provide a pathway to citizenship for hundreds of thousands undocumented people — including DACA recipients, TPS holders, and DED holders.
We’re encouraged to see Congress finally responding to this moment with urgency — but our demands can’t end here.
Millions more who don’t qualify for DACA or temporary protections will continue living under the fear of detention and deportation without a pathway to citizenship.
