Trump has continued his campaign of retribution:
He fired Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman from the National Security Council and had him and his twin brother (who didn’t even testify) escorted out of the White House.
He encouraged the military to punish them as well.
He fired Ambassador Sondland for testifying under a subpoena.
And now, he’s pressured AG Barr and the Department of Justice to lessen the sentencing of his ally Roger Stone, who was convicted on multiple counts of lying to Congress and witness tampering during the Mueller investigation. Four career prosecutors resigned in protest, but Trump shows no signs of letting up on abusing his power now that Mitch McConnell has given him the thumbs up.
