I’m no stranger to tough fights, friends.

In 2018 I ran for the New York State Senate in a district Republicans won by nearly 15 points in 2014. Democrats were on the verge of flipping control of the Senate and winning this district would secure that Democratic majority.

So I ran – knowing it would be an uphill battle – and we organized in every part of that district, including the parts considered to be reliably Republican, because I believed the people there deserved better and deserved real representation.

We won – And flipped control of the chamber. As State Senator, I sponsored measures to codify the protections of Roe v. Wade into law years before the Supreme Court decision struck down that precedent and took action on gun violence. And I never stopped being present in every corner of the district because that’s what it means to be a public servant.

The people of New York’s 3rd Congressional District deserve far better than George Santos, who is facing 13 Federal charges including money laundering and fraud. This is a district that Joe Biden carried and with your support, Democrats will carry again next November.
