It’s Senator Tammy Baldwin.

In 2012, I became the first openly gay person to be elected to the United States Senate.

Since then, we’ve made so much progress in the fight for LGBTQ+ equality.

But over the past few years, Republicans have unleashed a nationwide assault on all that we’ve accomplished -- and they’ve indulged hateful, dangerous rhetoric about LGBTQ+ Americans.

In moments like these, history shows that we can’t be quiet. We can’t be complacent.

We need to rise up, speak out, and fight for a brighter, more inclusive future.

That’s why I’m reaching out to you for the very first time. My friends at the DCCC are working hard to restore our Democratic House Majority and defeat the extreme MAGA Republicans who now hold power. But they can’t do it alone -- so before midnight, can I count on you to chip in $5 to help elect House Democrats who will fight for LGBTQ+ equality?

When Democrats last held the House, we passed landmark legislation to defend marriage equality.

But now, extremist Republicans are trying to take us to a darker, scarier time for LGBTQ+ Americans.

We can’t let them get away with it -- and together, we have the power to make sure they won’t.

We can’t have anyone on the sidelines in the fight for LGBTQ+ equality. So can I count on you to join me in supporting the DCCC’s work to elect House Democrats with a $5 gift before midnight?

Thank you,

Senator Tammy Baldwin
