John,
Since the Supreme Court overturned Roe last year, 20 U.S. states have banned or restricted abortion. The right to choose is being stripped away - and it's spreading.
The right to privacy and bodily autonomy - two rights enshrined by Roe - are also fundamental to a host of LGBTQ+ rights, like gender-affirming care and marriage equality. That's why this is still terribly true: the candidates who win this year will decide who has access to reproductive healthcare. They'll decide who can get married, who can be out at work and whose stories can be told in schools.
But there is good news. Pro-choice LGBTQ+ candidates are stepping up to run and fighting to repeal these horrific bills. We have to have their backs! That's why I have to ask before our end-of-quarter deadline: will you donate before midnight to continue our crucial work electing pro-choice LGBTQ+ candidates? Pitch in today!
Thanks for supporting this essential work,
Sarah LeDonne
