Hi John,

Last week, we shared our petition calling on the World Meteorological
Organization (WMO) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
(NOAA) to rename climate disasters after the fossil fuel companies that
are causing them.

We’ve seen an overwhelming response from our supporters — but we noticed
your name is missing. Here’s why we’re reaching out again and asking you
to sign on:

We know that public pressure works. When you combine the collective voice
of our global movement with the influence of the media, we have the power
to hold the fossil fuel industry accountable and push for real climate
solutions.

[ [link removed] ]By naming climate disasters after the fossil fuel companies that are
responsible for them, there will be no way to ignore the role these
companies have played. So we’re asking: will you sign on to our petition
to WMO and NOAA?

John -

Each year, our summers are longer and hotter and climate disasters become
more frequent and intense — especially wildfires, tornadoes, and
hurricanes.

The climate crisis drives these kinds of extreme weather events, but the
real culprits are the fossil fuel companies that are actually causing the
climate crisis itself.

Enough is enough,
John. It's time that the media
and the world turn up the pressure and hold the fossil fuel industry
accountable for its role in this crisis. That starts with us taking action
together today.

[ [link removed] ]Will you add your name to our petition calling on the World
Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric
Administration (NOAA) to rename climate disasters after the fossil fuel
companies that are causing them?

Fossil fuel companies are more focused on protecting their profits and
their public image than they are on protecting our planet and our
communities.

Rather than taking serious steps to address the climate crisis that
they've caused, fossil fuel companies are constantly trying to clear their
names by running ‘greenwashing’ campaigns that generate good press
coverage and are chock full of fake solutions.

We can't let them get away with it.

By naming climate disasters after the companies that are driving them,
we’ll be able to shine a bright media spotlight on the real role that the
fossil fuel industry plays in the destruction of our climate. This is the
kind of press coverage these companies actually deserve,
John.

the U.S., is just one of many climate disasters we can expect to see this
summer. Help us ensure that the fossil fuel companies responsible for this
devastation are held accountable by adding your name to our petition to
WMO and NOAA now:

Thanks for taking action,
