On Wednesday last week members of AFGE and AFGE Council 220 rallied on Capitol Hill to support Social Security Administration workers as they renegotiate key parts of their contract.

Congressman Maxwell Frost addressed the crowd, standing in the rain. "When times are hard I think about the late, great Congresswoman Barbara Jordan who said, 'What the people want is simple — a country as great as it’s promise.'"

UFCW Local 400 and United Kitchen Workers continue their call for a boycott of Union Kitchen stores in direct response to management’s ongoing and unlawful efforts to undermine the workers’ union, including firing multiple employees for union activity, in violation of federal law. Workers have asked for help leafletting outside store locations.

Senate committee passes the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act
