While Congress is in a two-week recess, NAFCU continues its advocacy on key credit union priorities related to interchange, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), government funding, and more. In addition, the association is hosting its Engage 2023: NAFCU’s Annual Conference in Long Beach, Calif., with hundreds of credit union leaders and industry professionals set to attend.
NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger wrote an op-ed for CUInsight explaining how credit unions’ ability to serve their members has been hampered by “nonstop, burdensome regulations” from the CFPB. Additionally, he called on Congress to enact “common-sense reforms” to provide guardrails and allow credit unions to continue providing “safe, secure, reliable, and affordable financial services.”
Virtual education and training opportunities are invaluable as they provide professional development that fits your budget and schedule. To ensure credit unions are staying on top of important regulatory changes and industry trends, the association is providing savings on its Online Training Center Subscriptions.
