Whitehouse for Senate

Team,

A decade ago, the Supreme Court tossed out a key part of the Voting Rights Act, sweeping in a new wave of laws meant to keep people from being able to exercise their right to vote.

In his opinion at the time, Chief Justice Roberts said that the world had changed and extra protections aimed at preventing states from making it harder for racial minorities to vote were simply no longer needed.

It was a really bad decision. State and local governments – many with a long history of racial discrimination – can adopt election policies as they please. According to the Associated Press, "at least 104 restrictive voting laws have passed in 33 mostly GOP-controlled states since the 2020 election."

The current Republican supermajority on the Court is even more openly political than the Roberts Court of a decade ago. Our current Court was built by dark money to carry out a pro-billionaire, pro-GOP agenda. It’s more important than ever that we send Senator Whitehouse and his fellow Democrats back to the Senate so we can rebalance the federal judiciary and change the course of the Supreme Court. Pitch in now to support Sheldon’s campaign and defend our Democratic Senate majority >>

Americans deserve fair, impartial judges who will make decisions for our country based on facts and law – not politics. The future of our courts and our work to protect the right to vote are at stake here.

So, we’re asking: Can you contribute $5 today to re-elect Senator Whitehouse and keep the Senate blue?

Thank you,

Team Whitehouse
