John, we’re not out of the woods yet.
After the debt ceiling crisis largely left the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA)’s climate provisions mostly intact, did you really think the attacks would stop?
Hardly. Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen the GOP Majority finding new ways to take aim at critical funding and programs that will usher in a clean energy future. And now, they’ve got corporate backup.

Lobbyists are suing to stop key provisions of IRA and the most far-right Congressmembers continue to propose terminations on IRA’s vital climate-fighting efforts. Just this past week, $13 billion in IRA funding meant to improve rural energy, create new green building standards, and make energy-efficient appliances more affordable was put on the GOP’s chopping block in the House Appropriations Committee.
John, the attacks from corporate lobbyists and fossil fools like Kevin McCarthy are not slowing down. They’re going to keep coming back and bring reinforcements again and again. And our SEEC Members will be there every time to beat them back.

Let’s be honest, John. There’s only one way we can stop Speaker McCarthy, his climate-denying majority, and their Big Oil backers once and for all: by taking back the House and restoring a green majority in the next election.
Last year, you helped us elect our largest SEEC class yet — and we’re working to expand our numbers even more in 2024. Even if you can only give a couple of bucks today, your donation will help give us the wind we need in our sails to elect a green majority. Are you with us?
