Today is the 10th anniversary of the Supreme Court decision that gutted the Voting Rights Act. The Shelby County v Holder decision resulted in 10 years of laws making it harder for Americans to vote.

At VoteRiders, we see the devastating consequences of this ruling every day. Just take a look at how many voter ID laws were enacted in the decade since: 

VoteRiders is fighting back by giving eligible voters the information and help they need to cast a ballot that counts. In the 10 years since the Shelby County decision, even as voter ID laws have exploded, we’ve been able to scale up our education and direct assistance work to reach millions of impacted Americans. 

We count on our supporters and volunteers to help us get the word out. Encourage your friends and family to do an ID check and reach out to us if anyone needs free help getting a voter ID.

We plan to reach millions of voters ahead of the 2024 election so they are prepared and ready to cast a ballot that counts. We couldn’t do it without thousands of active donors, volunteers, and supporters like you.
