Friend -
Donald Trump is about to take the stage in Michigan to energize Republicans who think they can flip this Senate seat in this key battleground state next year.
DONATE NOWTrump’s visit just a week after a new poll showed him tied with President Biden in Michigan is an indication that he and National Republicans still very much view this as a swing state they can win. This won’t be the last time the former president visits our state before next year’s election, but this trip will be an important moment to revitalize the GOP base here.
So, what does that mean for us?
It means that even after Democratic success in 2022, National Republicans are betting on this notorious swing state swinging red as they map out their path to take back the Senate next year. This will likely result in more attack ads, more smears and misinformation on social media, and it certainly means more far-right dark money pouring into this race against Elissa.
The same poll last week puts this Senate race at a one-point margin, making it clear that just as Michigan swung to Democrats last cycle, it can certainly swing back. That means Elissa needs your help. We have to come together in this moment and to prove we can defend Elissa from any attacks that come our way, defend Michigan’s Senate seat, and defend the 51-seat majority in the Senate.
