Friend,
One year ago today, the Supreme Court issued one of the most consequential decisions in its 234 year history.
The Dobbs decision instantly invalidated the legal protection for abortion established under Roe v Wade , overthrew five decades of legal precedent, and reversed a fundamental civil right for the very first time in our nation’s history.
I am firmly committed to reproductive justice and 100% unapologetically pro-choice. I trust American women to make their own decisions about their bodies and their healthcare, and as president I will do everything in my power to re-establish and protect that right.

One year on, we are just beginning to feel the weight of the far-reaching consequences of the Dobbs ruling.
Thanks to newly enacted abortion bans, today a pregnant woman in Miami would have to travel nearly 1,000 miles across multiple state lines to reach a state where abortion access is still fully protected under state law.
Rural hospitals in some states have begun shuttering OB-GYN services to avoid running into legal conflict with extreme bans.
Healthcare providers in states that have banned all or most abortions now face criminal penalties with severe fines and jail time if they perform an abortion, even if it is their professional medical opinion that the abortion is necessary but it fails to meet the far right’s legal definition of life-threatening.
As a result, 64% of OB-GYNs nationwide believe that the Dobbs decision has worsened maternal mortality rates in this country. The United States already had the highest maternal mortality rate of any advanced democracy before we lost Roe .
This is a national health emergency, and our federal government should respond accordingly. Both Congress and the president should be moving to restore abortion rights immediately. Instead? Congressional Republicans are pushing a national abortion ban.
The Williamson Administration will protect reproductive rights by:
Appointing federal judges and Supreme Court judges who acknowledge Roe v. Wade as the law of the land, and support the Constitutional right to Privacy
Codify Roe v. Wade into a federal law
Expand and Restore Funding for Planned Parenthood, and other local healthcare clinics that provide abortion and other services
Create a federal program that provides contraception resources, especially for low-income communities
Repeal the Hyde and Helms Amendments
Ban Targeted Restrictions on Abortion Providers (TRAP) Laws
Refuse Title X funding for “crisis pregnancy centers”
Emphasize reproductive justice and end the Black Maternal Mortality Crisis
Expand funding for sexual education in K-12 and in Higher Education
Work to Combat the “Post-Birth Abortion” Myth
Vigorously oppose federal and state legislation designed to shame, harass, punish, or further restrict women from exercising their constitutional right to choose
...and much more. You can read my entire reproductive justice platform here [[link removed]] .
The fallout from Dobbs has already undermined access to contraception, our constitutional right to privacy, and even LGBTQIA rights such as marriage equality.
The devastating consequences of this ruling has not only led to a severe restriction of our civil liberties, it is putting women’s lives at risk every day.
When I am elected as the first woman president, it will be my mandate to change that and to vigorously protect the rights of women and ALL Americans.
I hope you will give generously to my campaign so we can work for reproductive justice from the White House. [[link removed]]
