Today marks one year since the Supreme Court decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization to roll back abortion rights which set off a cascading effect across the country.

Many states outlawed abortion outright, and today, only half of U.S. counties even have a single ob-gyn working in them – laws preventing doctors from getting required training will only make this inequity worse. This lack of access to care is unacceptable, and I am here to tell you that I will always stand up for the rights of anyone seeking an abortion.

I am proud to say that I not only have the endorsement of NARAL Pro-Choice America, but I am also working with my colleagues to ensure families and women have access to the reproductive care they need, every day.

John, we must enshrine abortion access on the federal level, but the only way we can do that is by electing abortion champions like me to Congress. The majority of Americans agree that abortion should not be outlawed. We’ve heard so many heartbreaking stories in the last year of women and girls having to travel long distances to get the care they need, or worse, die because of lack of access to life-saving procedures.

We cannot stop fighting. We need to keep up the fight and elect more pro-choice champions so we can finally have the votes to restore Roe.
