John, today marks the anniversary of the Dobbs v. Jackson
decision. With a 6-3 decision from a conservative-leaning court, the
precedent of Roe was erased.

Since the beginning of 2023, actions have been taken to prevent access to
abortion-related healthcare and roll back the allowed timeframes for an
abortion. TRAP laws that were already in place have been overtaken by
total bans or laws without exceptions for rape or incest.
- The South Carolina General Assembly put forward and amended a bill that
would allow for the death penalty as an option if a woman seeks an
abortion.

- Lindsey Graham proposed a 15-week national ban last year before the 2022
midterms.
- After the Dobbs decision went into effect, several states now have total
bans with no exceptions for rape or incest.

While the GOP has nationally claimed that abortion laws are about
"protecting life" and "not about punishing women," we continue to see
legislation introduced with the potential to result in the deaths of
women, doctors, and even those who drive a patient to an abortion
appointment.

Let that sink in: the "pro-life" movement is perfectly fine with the death
of women and doctors.
There is nothing "pro-life" about these laws. Now is not the time to be
complacent, as this is the fight of our generation. [ [link removed] ]Chip in now and
help us elect leaders that will protect freedom and choice and defend the
women of this nation.
