One year ago today, the radical conservative majority of the Supreme Court threw out decades of constitutional precedent and overturned Roe v. Wade.

As a result, at least 15 states have stopped providing the majority of abortion services and 25 million women live in states where abortion is restricted or banned.

In New Mexico, we fought and organized to elect pro-choice legislators who took an archaic abortion ban off the books. I’m proud to represent a state that protects abortion access, but we cannot rest until we defend and expand reproductive rights in every single state.

I’m fighting in the Senate to protect abortion and contraception access on the federal level. But our Democratic Majority is razor-thin, and Mitch McConnell only needs to flip two seats to take back the majority.
