John,
I was proud to cast the first pro-choice vote in West Michigan history. For the first time in our district’s history, West Michigan is represented by a woman who will always fight for their right to make their own healthcare decisions.
I’ve shared with so many of you the personal connection I have with this issue, but this week, I’m reminded of how the current Supreme Court decided to overturn the half-century-long precedent set by Roe v. Wade just one year ago this week.
Their decision to strip a person of their own bodily autonomy came as a shock to so many Americans, including myself. Since then, Republicans across the country have only continued to attack reproductive rights, passing bills designed to hurt abortion providers and make reproductive health care even less accessible.
My promise to you is that I will always advocate for the equal rights of all the people of West Michigan, and I am committed to continuing to fight for reproductive freedom. Still, to pass the much-needed legislation codifying Roe v. Wade, we have to first take back the House majority in 2024.
Can I count on you to chip in $10 or more to my re-election campaign right away to ensure West Michigan has a strong pro-choice advocate in Congress?

Thank you so much,
