A note from Chrissy.

We're in the thick of summer, and I hope you've been enjoying all this season has to offer - swimming pools, the shore, barbecues, and long days and warm days. But while school's out for summer, my work isn't slowing, and I'm excited to check in with an update on how we're building a better future for you and your family.

National Security Town Hall.

Last month, at my 73rd town hall, we had a productive conversation on our national security. We discussed the southern border, the war in Ukraine, and our relationship with China, just to name a few topics. As a veteran and a eformer business leader of an internationally distributed brand, I know firsthand how events around the world impact our domestic security and economic vitality here at home, and I was grateful to hear from you on these important topics.

President Biden's National Advisory Board.

I've been so honored to be selected for President Biden's campaign's National Advisory Board. There are just four of us from Pennsylvania: Governor Josh Shapiro, State Rep Malcolm Kenyatta, U.S. Rep Brendan Boyle, and me. I firmly believe in President Biden's vision for our country - one in which we all have equal rights, good work, and a prosperous future - and so I'm excited to help him get reelected.

Protecting Pennsylvania's Mushroom Farmers

Our community — specifically Kennett Square — is known as the "Mushroom Capital of the World" because 60% of all the nation's mushrooms are grown here. But the unique conditions that allow mushrooms to grow make them especially vulnerable to pests that can kill an entire crop in one fell swoop. I'm prod to have introduced legislation that takes the first step towards providing crop insurance to mushroom farmers across our country and Commonwealth.

Thank you for staying in touch, for sharing your concerns and ideas, and for keeping up to date on how I and my team are working for our community. I'm so excited about everything we've accomplished so far and everything yet to come as we pass through the summer months. I'll be back next month with another update. In the meantime, happy summer!

There's work to be done.
