FIRST:
Last year, our movement won huge victories for fair maps and voting rights at the North Carolina Supreme Court.

BUT THEN:
After the 2022 election, the makeup of NC’s state supreme court changed, so Republicans asked the new justices to overturn these precedents.

A.G. Holder blasted the decision, saying it “was not a function of legal principle, it was a function of political personnel and partisan opportunism.”

NOW:
NC Republicans are advancing what one local outlet called a “Monster Voting Law” that would impose extreme voting restrictions ahead of the 2024 election.

AND TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE:
More than 30 states will soon elect new supreme court justices, and right-wing extremists are hoping to stack the courts with judges who they believe will enable their anti-democratic agenda.
