One year ago today, the Supreme Court’s far-right majority overturned Roe v. Wade, changing the landscape of reproductive freedom and abortion access across America forever.

Ever since the Dobbs decision was handed down, we’ve rapidly seen abortion bans and restrictions sweep across the nation. Doctors are grappling with leaving the profession for fear of prosecution. Patients with devastating and exceptional circumstances are being turned away from abortion care. And new legislation from “heartbeat” bills to all-out bans are passing in state legislatures.

Make no mistake: The Republicans wanted this outcome. If a post-Roe America is someone’s ideal reality, that person does not have our best interests at heart. In fact, that person is actively rooting against the very ideals of freedom and personal happiness our country is based upon. That’s why during the midterms, I released this ad called “Lock Her Up” to preview where all of this is going if MAGA Republicans are allowed to exercise the reins of power unchecked.
