John, on the anniversary of the Dobbs decision, I wanted to give you an idea as to why I'm so committed to protecting reproductive rights.
As anti-choice extremists continue to hijack our medical decisions, millions of people are living in states that have enacted abortion bans and restrictions. The sad reality? A disproportionate percentage of people affected are working class people of color.

As the daughter of working class Guatemalan immigrants, as someone who's spent the majority of her life advocating for people suffering from homelessness, I've seen how much of an uphill battle it is to receive regular healthcare, let alone reproductive care. With state bans and restrictions, and finding safe and legal reproductive can be almost impossible.
John, the Dobbs decision emphasizes one clear truth: we need pro-choice candidates to step up and fight.
And this isn't a new fight for me, John. In my time in the Illinois House, I proudly fought to remove barriers to abortion access, co-sponsored the Reproductive Health Act, and was endorsed by two organizations that support pro-choice women: Emily's List and PODER PAC.
But because I'm one person, because of my beliefs, because of the work I've done, anti-choice extremists will be eager to take my seat in 2024.
I've been a champion for reproductive rights and a strong supporter of candidates who feel the same way. I want nothing more than to continue, but it's going to take early support to stand out in 2024 – will you chip in to support my pro-choice message? [[link removed]]
