Today marks the one-year anniversary of the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

The overturning of this landmark decision that protected abortion access as a constitutional right for decades had a devastating impact on millions of Americans, leaving them without access to reproductive health care.

A woman’s right to control her own body is on the line in every state as Republicans are hellbent on passing increasingly restrictive and dangerous laws. In Congress, I will work tirelessly to advance legislation that protects and expands bodily autonomy and women’s rights to make their own healthcare choices.

Republicans are working every day to limit access to reproductive healthcare for women across the country, including attempting to ban mifepristone, a prescription drug commonly used in medical abortions. Women on Long Island and across the country need members of Congress who will fight for their right to autonomy over their own bodies.
