Hi John, it’s officially been one year since the conservative Supreme Court struck down Roe v. Wade.

That means it’s been a year since many red states across the nation started passing restrictive bans on the right to choose and since we’ve seen a gap in interest in medical students pursuing OB-GYN courses, especially in states where they won’t be able to complete education.

And any day now, we’re expected to learn the fate of the leading abortion pill, Mifepristone, as the courts weigh in on its 20+ year old FDA approval.

Overwhelmingly, the American people have shown they want politicians and judges out of their personal medical decisions—but that hasn’t stopped extremist leaders from inserting themselves into doctor’s offices.

They won’t stop until abortion is banned in every single state across the country—which means we have to be all the stronger to thwart those efforts.

I’m proud to stand with Democrats as we fight tooth and nail against Republicans to pass federal protections for reproductive health care—a fight we escalated this week. But there’s more to do.
