Exactly one year ago today, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, stripping millions of women of their right to reproductive freedom. This has instituted an unprecedented and unacceptable level of government control.
We knew the Dobbs decision would lead to extreme abortion bans across the country and cost lives. But the last year has shown that the implications of this ruling are worse than we could have ever imagined.
The government has no place in our personal healthcare decisions. Full stop. But it couldn’t be more clear that extremist House Republicans are hell-bent on stripping women of every last reproductive right.
Our fundamental freedoms remain on the chopping block. And with the national abortion ban still looming, we need to come together as a grassroots team to fight back against these continued assaults on bodily autonomy.
